I can play YouTube videos with no problems using the default Windows driver. The interesting thing is the default Windows/VGA adapter driver for my display works like a charm. I have tried installing the most recent driver from AMD, I have tried installing the latest driver from Asus for my GPU with no success. I can play games with zero issues but as soon as Flash Player is used it causes problems. Sometimes my computer will just completely crash and restart. Sometimes my screen will go black and my monitor will act as if there is nothing plugged into it. Sometimes my monitor will just go black (sound still playing) and recover after a few seconds. Any time Flash Player is being used (YouTube, Facebook, anywhere) my display driver will crash. in the past, at least, "realplayer" plugins were known to cause problems with "flash player".So here is the issue. you can check it out.Īlso, you can look in mozilla-support for information about issues with "flash player". i am not sure, but i think that FP 11 requires a minimum of 128 MB of memory on the video card and that FP 12 requires a minimum of 512 MB of memory on the video card. if your video card does not have the amount of memery that adobe says is required, that might be a problem. the various versions require a video card with a certain amount of memory. It also might be good to check the "system requirements" for "flash player". be careful to get the "plugin" version of "flash player", to use with "firefox".Īlso, if you are using "noscript build 2.6.8.5", you should update "noscript" to the current version, build 2.6.8.13. The ESR verion of "flash player", build 11.7.x, is the last in the list, near the bottom of the webpage, posted above. You can download the ESR versions of "flash player" from here: "ESR" is "extended support release", meaning that it is an "old" version which continues to be patched, as needed. using the ESR versions of "flash player", i have not had any problems with "flash player". now i use the ESR version of flash player 11, build 11.7.x. In order to avoid problems, i used the ESR version of flash player 10, until it no longer was supported. There has been a long history of people having problems with "flash player", when using it with "firefox", ever since flash player 11 was first released.
